- Lead the corporate sustainability function through Directors, owning the organization's programs and directing the research and analysis used to develop corporate sustainability strategies ensuring practices, products and services are environmentally compliant
- Own the enterprise energy management strategy, directing energy conservation programs and portfolio-level analysis of consumption trends and anomalies across all operating properties
- Approve the annual submission cycle against mining and sustainability performance standards (TSM and evolving industry frameworks), holding accountability for data quality, governance practices and disclosure integrity
- Direct alignment to the full set of responsible-mining and climate frameworks (GRI, SASB, ICMM, TSM, GISTM, TCFD/TNFD) and set continuous-improvement targets for reporting processes across site and corporate teams
- Report sustainability and energy performance to executive leadership, translating detailed functional knowledge into recommendations that carry serious functional and business consequences

- Applies detailed functional knowledge of sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB, ICMM, TSM, GISTM, TCFD/TNFD), energy management systems and mining disclosure to set the strategy for a complete sustainability function led through Directors.

- Resolves functional-strategy problems — designing the reporting, energy-conservation and framework-alignment approach for the whole function; errors carry serious functional and business consequences.

- 12–15+ years of sustainability/energy and management experience, including leading a corporate sustainability or energy-management program.

- Social Performance and National Content leadership
- — Improves how the company manages Social Performance including delivery of National Content in the mining context, ensuring community and local-content commitments are met and evidenced to regulators.
- Techno-economic decarbonization assessment
- — Directs research and techno-economic analysis of decarbonization pathways — carbon-intensity assessment, methane quantification, carbon economics and hydrogen/e-fuel options — to inform enterprise energy-transition strategy.
- Sustainability reporting process improvement
- — Drives business improvement across sustainability operations — simplifying processes, strengthening data flows, improving reporting routines and raising data quality and governance across sites.
- External sustainability representation
- — Represents the company in industry framework bodies (ICMM, TSM) and standard-setting forums, and engages boards, investors and regulators on the corporation's sustainability and climate position.
- Sustainability risk and license-to-operate stewardship
- — Bears accountability for enterprise sustainability risks — regulatory, reputational, tailings (GISTM) and license-to-operate — ensuring governance and disclosure withstand external and regulatory scrutiny.
