What this role is

Entry-level professional who supports environmental and community impact initiatives for energy or mining operations. At the Entry-Level Professional (P1) level, the role owns own tasks within a defined component, routine problems with known solutions, and drives own deliverables. None — building the craft.

What this level does

  • Collect energy-usage data from utility bills, energy usage logs and metering sources, cleaning and organizing it for analysis under close supervision
  • Assist senior analysts in aligning sustainability data to relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, ICMM principles, TSM, GISTM, TCFD/TNFD) by populating templates and checking data completeness
  • Track energy and fuel consumption figures and log the cost-savings impact of assigned alternative-energy measures using provided spreadsheets and reporting software
  • Support continuous improvement of sustainability reporting processes by flagging data-quality gaps to more senior team members for resolution
Knowledge applied
Applies foundational knowledge of energy data sources (utility bills, usage logs) and basic sustainability reporting concepts under detailed instruction; developing familiarity with frameworks such as GRI, SASB and TSM.
