At the Manager (Team Lead) (M1) level, the role owns a single team, day-to-day delivery and people issues, and drives team output and health. Direct people management of one team.
What this level does
- Supervise a small team of sustainability analysts and coordinators collecting inputs for annual submissions against mining and sustainability performance standards such as Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM), ensuring data is gathered from site teams on schedule
- Oversee day-to-day execution of energy audits at assigned sites, reviewing analysts' usage-pattern analyses and validating recommended technologies and practices before they are escalated
- Coordinate with site teams and corporate functions to ensure alignment on sustainability reporting requirements and resolve routine data-gathering gaps within established reporting cycles
- Check data quality and completeness on sustainability metric submissions, applying established validation practices before entries feed the reporting workflow (e.g., in Intelex)
- Track short-term unit targets for reporting turnaround and audit completion, allocating tasks across the team to meet framework submission deadlines
