At the Manager (Team Lead) (M1) level, the role owns a single team, day-to-day delivery and people issues, and drives team output and health. Direct people management of one team.

- Supervises a unit of GIS technicians and junior analysts performing spatial data gathering and verification from satellite imagery, GNSS, and geological surveys, checking daily output for integrity and accuracy
- oversees the organizing, cleaning, and maintenance of geospatial databases, resolving routine data-quality issues within established practices
- Assigns and tracks day-to-day mapping and geoprocessing tasks, ensuring deliverables meet unit turnaround and quality standards
- Provides hands-on guidance on ArcGIS and QGIS spatial data processing workflows to less-experienced staff
- Applies established QA procedures to mapping products before they leave the unit
