What this level does
- Operate and troubleshoot common geological field equipment — GPS, XRF analyzers, and geophysical instruments — resolving routine setup and calibration issues without escalation
- Process and quality-check acquired geological data using tools such as RockWorks or ArcGIS, flagging anomalies against expected ranges for review
- Manage and maintain geological databases (EarthSoft EQuIS Geology, Microsoft Access), applying defined data standards and correcting inconsistencies
- Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies within the geoscience team, contributing status on assigned acquisition and processing tasks
- Assist senior staff with defined portions of a geological investigation, executing an assigned methodology with occasional guidance

- — Independently develops, conducts, and evaluates complex geological investigations, selecting field acquisition and analytical approaches within program guidelines and standards.
- Geochemical Analysis
- — Uses geochemical modeling tools such as The Geochemist's Workbench to interpret water and mineral chemistry and predict geochemical processes in the subsurface.
