The most senior sustainability executive setting enterprise-wide environmental, climate, and community strategy across all business units and regions of a global energy or mining company. At the Senior Vice President (E4) level, the role owns multiple divisions, enterprise strategy and external stakeholders, and drives cross-division / enterprise. Leads division leaders.

- Oversee a large cross-business sustainability, energy and Social Performance portfolio with high autonomy, integrating it into overall corporate strategy across multiple strategic areas
- Participate in enterprise strategic development, embedding climate, energy-transition and responsible-mining commitments (TCFD/TNFD, GISTM) into the corporation's long-range direction and capital plan
- Engage the board and CEO regularly on sustainability risk, disclosure exposure and energy-transition strategy, and represent the corporation to industry leaders, investors and regulators
- Set corporate accountability for the integrity of sustainability disclosure and governance across all business units, ensuring Mining Development Contract and National Content obligations are met at corporate level
- Direct the enterprise sustainability data, reporting and performance-tracking architecture (indicators, metrics, dashboards) as a corporate strategic asset supporting investor and regulatory confidence

- Social Performance and National Content leadership
- — Improves how the company manages Social Performance including delivery of National Content in the mining context, ensuring community and local-content commitments are met and evidenced to regulators.
- Techno-economic decarbonization assessment
- — Directs research and techno-economic analysis of decarbonization pathways — carbon-intensity assessment, methane quantification, carbon economics and hydrogen/e-fuel options — to inform enterprise energy-transition strategy.
- Sustainability reporting process improvement
- — Drives business improvement across sustainability operations — simplifying processes, strengthening data flows, improving reporting routines and raising data quality and governance across sites.
- External sustainability representation
- — Represents the company in industry framework bodies (ICMM, TSM) and standard-setting forums, and engages boards, investors and regulators on the corporation's sustainability and climate position.
- Sustainability risk and license-to-operate stewardship
- — Bears accountability for enterprise sustainability risks — regulatory, reputational, tailings (GISTM) and license-to-operate — ensuring governance and disclosure withstand external and regulatory scrutiny.
