An individual contributor who supports day-to-day store operations under general guidance while building core retail management skills. At the Developing Professional (P2) level, the role owns defined deliverables / small features, applies established patterns, and drives own and immediate-team deliverables. May guide interns.
What this level does
- Share responsibility with the Store Manager for store activities and objectives including sales generation, customer service, shrinkage control, merchandising, and store maintenance, following defined procedures
- Work with the Store Manager to arrange employee work schedules, delegate tasks among associates like restocking shelves, checking out customers, and reorganizing displays, and monitor spending against budget
- Manage day-to-day floor operations independently within familiar routines, deputizing for the Store Manager across full shifts
- Coach and mentor store associates on service standards and operational routines without formal supervisory authority

- Applies defined store procedures across sales, scheduling, shrink and merchandising with growing judgment in familiar contexts.
