- Work under close supervision with generation equipment (turbines, inverters, industrial machines) to control chemical reactions, process intermediate products, and move feedstock through a bioenergy plant, following documented startup and shutdown procedures
- Monitor the operation of boilers, turbines, generators, inverters, and auxiliary systems, reading meters and logging readings to confirm equipment is operating within parameters
- Calibrate power-generating equipment and manipulate components under instruction to keep renewable generation units running smoothly
- Report anomalies, out-of-range readings, and equipment alarms to a supervising operator rather than diagnosing or intervening independently

- Applies basic mechanical skills and electricity fundamentals (voltage, electricity flow) to calibrate and read meters on renewable generation and bioenergy equipment under detailed instruction.
