Manages a team applying lean manufacturing and design-for-manufacture practices to speed products from concept to high-volume production. At the Senior Manager (M3) level, the role owns multiple teams or a sub-function, multi-team execution and resourcing trade-offs, and drives sub-function outcomes. Manages managers and/or several teams.

- Leads the lean/continuous-improvement function for a department or plant area, responsible for its operating budget, staffing, and the annual Kaizen roadmap
- Identifies opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity across diverse process areas, coordinating implementation and optimizing machining/manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, and repeatability
- Evaluates trends across multiple lines to target systemic waste — not just point problems — and defines the improvement portfolio accordingly
- Facilitates the planning and implementation of workplace flow and layout, equipment installations, modifications, and moves according to Lean concepts
- May lead other managers or cross-functional professionals, aligning maintenance, quality, and production around shared lean control plans
