- Lead integrated day-to-day mining execution across Mining, Drill & Blast, Planning and Maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient and disciplined delivery
- Take ownership of operational decision-making across the operation, balancing production, safety and cost objectives under broad assignment
- Lead Mining Superintendents and contractor teams, setting operating standards and holding them to production and safety commitments
- Interpret operational data and Remote Operations Center outputs to improve commercial outcomes and understand how equipment and process choices affect margin and risk
- Act as the operational authority bridging superintendents and site management, representing mining execution in cross-functional and contractor forums

- — Controls the operation of continuous mining machines, power shovels, shuttle/mine cars, conveyors and hoisting engines to extract and move material safely to grade.

- — Hangs and maintains ventilation tubing and curtains to keep the advancing mining-face area properly ventilated as extraction progresses.

- Commercial and data literacy
- — Interprets operational and equipment data — including Remote Operations Center outputs — to improve commercial outcomes and understand how digital and process choices affect mining margin and risk.
- Mine budget and compliance oversight
- — Manages mining operation budgets and ensures regulatory and safety compliance across the full production, cost and workforce envelope.
- Contractor and superintendent leadership
