What this role is

Experienced individual contributor who conducts workplace safety inspections and environmental compliance monitoring under general guidance. At the Senior Support Specialist (S3) level, the role owns escalated / complex cases, complex or non-standard cases, and drives resolution quality on the team's hardest cases. Guides junior support informally.

What this level does

  • Independently plan and run inspection programs for a facility, sequencing checks and audits and exercising judgment on which non-routine conditions require follow-up
  • Investigate moderately difficult findings — an unexpected exposure reading or a control that no longer meets standard — and determine the correct corrective step within existing procedures
  • Coordinate scheduled tasks such as permit-renewal tracking and waste-disposal compliance logging across a site with little day-to-day instruction
  • Compile inspection, sampling and incident data into compliance reports for the professional EHS staff, identifying patterns worth attention
  • Support specific programs (respiratory protection, emergency-response drills) by executing and monitoring them against defined requirements
