Time & Motion Study

— Observes and records manufacturing operation cycles with a stopwatch or timing tool, breaking work into measurable elements to establish or verify labor and cycle-time standards on the production line.

SOP & Work-Instruction Documentation

— Drafts, updates and re-issues standard operating procedures, routing sheets and work instructions under document-control conventions, keeping revisions synchronized with what actually happens on the floor.

Process Data Collection & Reporting

— Captures cycle-time, scrap, yield and downtime data from the line and consolidates it in Excel tables, pivots and charts used in manufacturing project and improvement reviews.

CMM Metrology (PC-DMIS)

— Sets up and runs coordinate-measuring-machine routines in Wilcox PC-DMIS to measure part dimensions against the print, logs results and troubleshoots out-of-tolerance readings before escalation.

CAD Layout Markup (AutoCAD)

— Reads and redlines plant-layout drawings in AutoCAD to reflect equipment moves, cell reconfigurations and line relocations, returning accurate markups for engineer incorporation.

Statistical Analysis (Minitab / SPSS)

— Runs basic statistical process and study analyses in Minitab or IBM SPSS on collected floor data to identify variation, bottlenecks and capability trends for the engineering team.

SCADA / HMI Data Extraction

— Pulls production-count, machine-state and downtime data from supervisory control (SCADA) and human-machine-interface (HMI) systems into structured spreadsheets for monitoring and analysis.

Document Control & Revision Management

— Maintains controlled process documents, filing revisions in correct locations and ensuring the current version of every SOP, work instruction and routing sheet is the one available to the floor.

Excel & Access Data Tooling

— Builds and maintains recurring spreadsheets and Access datasets — pivot tables, lookups and templates — that turn raw manufacturing observations into the repeatable metrics engineers use for decisions.

Bottleneck & Capacity Data Support

— Compiles and diagnoses throughput, utilization and cycle-time data to surface line constraints, supporting engineers on capacity and layout improvement projects.

Shop-Floor Method Trials

— Coordinates with operators to trial revised methods or cell arrangements on the line and documents before/after results so the engineer can validate an optimization change.

Procedure Creation & Standardization

— Designs new data-collection, measurement and documentation procedures for the plant so that cycle-time, yield and metrology results are captured consistently across shifts, cells and technicians.

Technician Guidance & Training

— Guides and trains junior technicians and peers on time-study technique, CMM routine setup, tools and document-control practice, correcting method errors before data reaches engineers.
