What this level does
- Independently own petrophysical interpretation for assigned wells, assessing subsurface data to quantify reservoir properties and plan work day-to-day with milestone review only
- Prepare and supervise petrophysical data acquisition programs (wireline and MWD/LWD logs), core measurements (RCAL and SCAL), formation pressure measurements including fluid sampling, production logging, and cement evaluation
- Ensure reservoir property uncertainties are properly reflected in static and dynamic models feeding to the subsurface team
- Support well placement and design optimization through real-time and post-well log interpretation
- Coordinate with geology, geophysics, and reservoir engineering to integrate petrophysical inputs across a diverse set of subsurface problems

- Deep working knowledge of log analysis, rock physics, and core-log integration applied independently across diverse wells; owns acquisition-program design and uncertainty propagation into models.

- — Interprets wireline and LWD logs, calibrates them against RCAL/SCAL core measurements, and applies rock-physics relationships to derive porosity, saturation, permeability, and net pay for reservoir characterization.
- Formation evaluation program design
- — Plans and supervises petrophysical data acquisition — coring, wireline and MWD/LWD logging, formation pressure measurements and fluid sampling, production logging, and cement evaluation — and specifies the QC and processing sequence.

- — Applies advanced methods to challenging reservoirs — thin beds, low-resistivity pay, complex lithology, and unconventionals — where standard porosity/saturation models require adaptation or novel interpretation.

- — Translates log and core interpretation into value drivers and material technical risks for asset valuation, transactions, and strategic decisions across oil and gas and carbon-storage assets under transaction timelines.
