- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for a defined work cell or line segment, applying continuous-improvement techniques to reduce waste
- Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows and assists with product launches
- Designs and conducts research programs to evaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommends conventional improvements
- Selects appropriate manufacturing equipment and materials for routine process needs and validates them against specification
