Geologic sample collection and chain-of-custody

— Collects, labels, and tracks geological samples in the field on 2-3 person teams, maintaining custody records and correct sampling locations for geothermal resource surveys.

GIS map digitizing

— Digitizes geologic maps and builds GIS layers from geochemistry, surface-geology, and subsurface data to produce figures and cross-sections supporting geothermal reports.

Remote sensing image handling

— Processes and files aerial photographs and remote sensing images used to map geothermal reservoirs, applying standard naming and QC conventions.

Geologic data entry and QC

— Enters field observations and multi-source geologic datasets into standardized systems and cross-checks records for internal consistency, flagging or rejecting anomalies.

Geophysical data QA/QC

— Performs quality assurance and quality control on geophysical datasets and incorporates the cleaned data into geothermal system models built by geoscientists.

Multi-source subsurface data compilation

— Compiles and reconciles geochemistry, surface geology, and subsurface log datasets, exercising judgment on which records to retain when sources disagree.

Field survey logistics coordination

— Sequences sample collection, GPS capture, and instrument readings across a field team and coordinates timing with drillers and project managers for complete, correctly ordered data capture.

Report and presentation preparation

— Assembles draft figures, cross-sections, map layers, report sections, and presentation slides that communicate geothermal survey findings to scientists, clients, and non-specialists.

Data procedure development

— Documents and standardizes new field-collection, QC, and GIS-mapping procedures and reusable processing templates for geothermal reservoir characterization.

Conceptual-model data preparation

— Prepares and structures QC'd geologic, geochemical, and geophysical datasets so geoscientists can build conceptual models of low- and high-temperature geothermal systems.

Technical communication

— Communicates field conditions, data anomalies, and processing results clearly in writing and verbally to geologists, engineers, drillers, and project managers.

Critical evaluation of data

— Bases retention, rejection, and escalation decisions on sound observation and careful evaluation of geologic and instrument data rather than assumption.
