What this role is

Senior individual contributor who leads complex surveying and spatial-data analysis to support oil and gas project planning and land management. At the Senior Professional (P4) level, the role owns a system or set of related features, devises new approaches, and drives multi-team / function outcomes. Technical lead for focused efforts; mentors several.

What this level does

  • Manage complex geospatial projects end to end — procurement, acquisition, production, and QA/QC — selecting methods and tools for the work
  • Consult with interdisciplinary stakeholders and clients on priorities, improvements, and requirements for data sets, standards, processes, and products; gather feedback, explain requirements, and resolve issues
  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex spatial variables (e.g., reconciling LiDAR, InSAR, and imagery datasets) with functional impact across multiple projects
  • Lead technical review of survey and mapping deliverables and mentor mid-level staff on analytical and modelling methods
  • Coordinate across field, GIS, and CAD groups and influence decisions on data management and delivery approaches
