- Acts as a working lead for entry- and intermediate-level support staff, checking their inspection records and data entry, and informally guiding them on non-routine cases
- Recommends new solutions when recurring data or documentation problems disrupt the planning workflow, understanding the downstream implications for engineers' cost and safety analyses
