An individual contributor building skills in analog and digital circuit and chip layout design under guidance from more experienced engineers. At the Support Specialist (S2) level, the role owns a defined queue or customer set, standard issues within known procedures, and drives customer satisfaction for own queue. None.

- Carry out multi-step PCB layout tasks in Altium/OrCAD — routing straightforward nets, applying design rules, and managing footprint libraries — working from given constraints and deadlines
- Set up and run bench measurements and SPICE/mixed-signal simulations across a range of standard test cases, recognizing when a reading deviates from expected and flagging it
- Build, wire, and bring up prototype boards and embedded test rigs (ARM/Microblaze/Nios eval setups), following established procedures and adapting connections for the specific board
- Compile design verification test data — EMC pre-scan, functional bench results — into structured test reports and update specifications with the results
- Coordinate with purchasing and stockroom to confirm part availability and substitutions, updating the schematic library and BOM accordingly
