- Own the design of electrical systems whose failure endangers people or fleets — spanning multiple interacting component and discipline levels — replacing trial-and-error with abstract calculation to foresee fatigue, overload, and failure before building
- Spearhead electrical projects from planning to execution, setting goals and budgets, establishing engineering guidelines, developing test structures, and creating strategies across multiple projects and teams
- Set the safety and design hypothesis the whole engineering team relies on, making independent consequential judgments about which load cases and failure modes matter and using tests as the ultimate authority under doubt
- Guide technical direction and evaluate new developments in RF, analog, and power specialties, connecting engineering direction to business needs as connective tissue between teams and stakeholders
